Sara Boccaccini Meadows is an award-winning illustrator, print designer and artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from the Peak District, England, she graduated with First Class Honours in Textiles and Surface Pattern from Leeds College of Art.

Working across painting, illustration and print, Sara’s practice is rooted in a fascination with nature and the small details of everyday life. Her paintings bring together hand-painted marks, pattern and colour, often drawing on plants, wildlife, gardens, travel and the visual contrasts between urban and rural landscapes. She works primarily in watercolor, gouache and acrylic, creating pieces that sit between observation and imagination.

Sara’s background in illustration and surface pattern informs her fine art practice, bringing a strong sense of composition, detail and storytelling to her paintings. Her work has been exhibited and published internationally, alongside a career illustrating books, editorial and design projects.

Sketchbooks are central to Sara’s process. She documents places, plants, objects and fleeting moments wherever she goes, building a visual archive that feeds into larger paintings and ongoing bodies of work. Her practice is an exploration of the world around her…celebrating the familiar and the overlooked.
